Astrid likes Bruno Munari’s quote: ‘To complicate is easy. To simplify is difficult’. The underlying principles of her studio are clarity and simplicity.
Astrid earned a BA (Hons) in Graphic Design at Central Saint Martins College of Art & Design, graduating with a First Class Certiļ¬cate in the year 2000. This was followed by a Master of Arts at the Royal College of Art. She has since worked for the Reina Sofía Museum, Barcelona Design Museum, Palau de la Música, Art Directors Club of Europe, the Institute of Contemporary Art, Phaidon Press, Grupo Planeta and numerous publishing houses. Astrid is a contributing editor of Elephant magazine, lectures internationally and is a regular Jury member in national and international design competitions.
Her work has been widely published and has received over one hundred creative awards. Astrid is co-founder of the publishing house Infolio, specialised in books on graphic design and the visual culture. She is a member of Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI).
