Kate Sclater founded design studio with her now husband Tim Balaam in 2001. The pair met at Camberwell College of Arts, graduating in 1998. A team of five for a number of years, Hyperkit is now just Kate and Tim once again, with the occasional intern, allowing the pair a more hands on approach to projects and a flexibility to combine design work and family life with their two young boys.
