louise o’reilly

Louise O'Reilly is an illustrator working in a wide range of natural history subjects including plants, insects and birds. Her training includes Botanical Illustration at Oxford and Cherwell College (2002-2005), Diploma in Botanical Illustration from the Society of Botanical Artists (2007) and Insect Drawing at the University of Cambridge Botanical Gardens (2010).

She has recently worked in collaboration with garden historian Sally Jeffery to create an artist book about the 17th century gardens at Ham House commissioned by the National Trust for the Garden of Reason project, 2012. She is currently working on a proposal with artist Nayan Kulkarni for wayfinding in a health centre using a taxonomy of plants used in modern medicines.
